DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:ABSTRACT: Application proxies (mini-, skeleton-, and, compact applications, etc) provide a means of enabling rapid exploration of the parameter space that spans the performance of complex scientific application programs designed for use on current, emerging, and future architectures. =0A=0ABeginning with an introduction by Thuc Hoang, program manager from the Office of Advanced Computing and Simulation (ASC) for Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration, this meeting will include presentations describing work encompassing a broad set of issues impacting a broad set of application programs critical to the mission of the ASC campaign, particularly with regard to exascale preparations. (Working group reports at http://asc.llnl.gov/exascale/)=0A=0AThis meeting is also designed to encourage participation by an expanding set of collaborators, including those from universities, vendors, and other research institutions. We are particularly interested in engaging those with expertise throughout the codesign space, from application developers through hardware architects.
