DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:ABSTRACT: PBS began in 1991 when pioneers at NASA Ames Research Center launched a project to both standardize batch queuing and develop a truly portable workload management system capable of handling the world's largest parallel supercomputers.  The project was wildly successful, giving us both the POSIX 1002.3d batch standard as well as the PBS software.  Today, PBS is the most widely deployed workload and resource management software used anywhere in the world.  As a community, we need to steer PBS to make HPC smarter, and address the future challenges in HPC:  Clouds, GPUs, Big Data, Green Computing, Exascale, and beyond.=0A=0AThis Birds of a Feather session will bring together PBS users, administrators and developers to celebrate the 20-year history of PBS and openly discuss the future direction of PBS.
