What new, broad-based initiatives are addressing those challenges? What will come next? This BoF, co-hosted by leaders of several of those initiatives, features an interactive dialog among session attendees for community feedback, input, and participation, toward a goal of accelerating the development of a parallelism-savvy computing workforce, motivated by forward-looking efforts to encourage parallelism education and training. The session is convened by the Educational Alliance for a Parallel Future (EAPF), an organization with wide-ranging industry/academia/research membership, including Intel, AMD, and other prominent technology corporations. It also features leaders from the ACM Tech Pack on Parallel Computing authoring group and two NSF-funded projects for integrating parallelism throughout the undergraduate computing curriculum. Focus: industry/research needs; ecosystem-wide dissemination of concepts and practices of parallel computing.
