When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
SESSION: INCITE and Next-generation Leadership Systems
EVENT TYPE: Birds of a Feather
TIME: 5:30PM - 7:00PM
SESSION LEADER(S):Julia C. White
ROOM:WSCC 211
ABSTRACT: The Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment (INCITE) program will grant allocations totaling more than 1.7 billion core hours at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne and Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facilities (LCFs) in 2013. Researchers around the world with high-impact, computationally intensive projects are invited to apply. At the BoF, LCF staff will discuss new systems to be allocated through INCITE: a Cray XK6 and IBM Blue Gene/Q at the Oak Ridge and Argonne centers, respectively. Characteristics of successful proposals will be covered and writing tips will be provided for potential proposal authors, with emphasis on the importance of maximizing node-level parallelism. Instructions on requesting early access for benchmarking will also be covered. Join us for open discussion and Q&A on topics ranging from LCF system architectures to INCITE proposal review criteria.
