When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
Fluid Submersion Cooling Field Trial Results and Learnings
SESSION: Cooling Technologies II
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 1:30PM - 2:15PM
ABSTRACT: Fluid submersion cooling is being used by five of the top 500 HPC sites in the world, in either trials or in larger production systems up to 300kW per site. For those users, they see a path to sustainable Exascale production where cooling energy is cut by 95%, server power is cut by 15%, rack densities can reach 100kW per 42U rack, and components such as GPUs can run up to 20 C cooler than in air. Also, one center in Northern Europe is reducing net data center power to near zero by recapturing server power by heating building hot water to 60 C (or higher). Other benefits include potentially higher server reliability as servers don't use internal fans, have fewer cooling issues, and hard drives experience fewer vibrations.
