When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
Fujitsu’s Technologies Leading to Practical Petascale Computing: K-Computer and the Future -
SESSION: Novel & Future Architectures II
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 4:15PM - 5:00PM
Presenter(s):Motoi Okuda
ROOM:WSCC 611/612
ABSTRACT: The K computer, being developed in collaboration with RIKEN, acquired the No.1 position on the TOP500 list of June 2011. This partially-built system achieved the world’s best LINPACK performance of 8.162 petaflops and an extraordinarily high computing efficiency ratio of 93.0% by some 68,544 processors. When completed, the K computer will consist of over 80,000 processors i.e. over 640,000 cores. The balance between power consumption, reliability and application performance efficiency are key issues for a system with such huge numbers of cores. Fujitsu’s technologies achieve the required balance with SPARC64™ VIIIfx processor, “Tofu” – the six-dimensional mesh-torus topology interconnect, and using Integrated Multi-core Parallel ArChiTecture which realizes a highly efficient hybrid programming environment.
In the session, I will explain our latest HPC architecture and product line-ups, including the high-end supercomputing solution as epitomized by the K computer.
