When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
ABSTRACT: High performance computing has arrived in the cloud. This tutorial describes the technologies, architectures and management tools of working with high performance compute resources in the cloud. Using real world examples, this tutorial takes a guided tour through the provisioning and orchestration of large scale, distributed systems, to executing tightly coupled, parallel tasks on high specification hardware and GPUs. Weʼll also discuss how to manage, secure and integrate elastic resources with existing HPC infrastructure.
The tutorial will comprise a short introduction, and then two hands-on tutorial workshop sessions focusing on building, managing and maintaining high performance compute infrastructure in the cloud. A number of example exercises will be available for beginner, intermediate and advanced users.
Tutorial materials are available here: http://supercomputing.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/
All attendees will receive free service credit to cover the costs of running all examples in this tutorial.
To get started, attendees should arrive with a free Amazon Web Services account, available from: http://aws.amazon.com
