This forum is hosted by the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) which have large BG/P installations and have been involved in a design collaboration on BG/Q as well as experimental work on pre-release systems. We will update application developers and the user community on the new platform. Representatives from IBM will give an overview on BG/Q, along with ALCF and LLNL discussing their deployment plans already in progress. Other large Blue Gene sites, the Juelich Supercomputing Centre and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, will present updates on their status and plans. Members of the Blue Gene community are encouraged to join us for open discussion on the transition from BG/P to BG/Q including application development strategies.
