When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
MIC Architecture and the Path to Exascale Computing
SESSION: Novel & Future Architectures III
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 11:15AM - 12:00PM
Presenter(s):Rajeeb Hazra
ROOM:WSCC 611/612
ABSTRACT: Exascale computing promises to answer mankind’s challenges in a wide range of problems ranging from weather model accuracy, to new treatments and cures for diseases, to discovery of new sources of energy. But delivering Exascale computing that is actually useful to solving those problems as well as enabling Exascale computing that is energy efficient, are the real challenges. These are our challenges at Intel and for the HPC community as a whole. This talk defines a roadmap of upcoming Intel breakthrough technologies for enabling Exascale computing, including the Intel® Xeon and MIC Architectures for delivering efficient performance and programmability. While these technologies will solve some of the challenges on the road to Exascale, the rest will come from you. Come join us for a discussion of roadmap and how you can help the HPC community fulfill the dream of Exascale computing.
