When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side
is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook
calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be
stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
ABSTRACT: In this session, representatives from the OpenFabrics Alliance and the InfiniBand Trade Association will demonstrate the feasibility of InfiniBand over WAN utilizing the OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution (OFED) and SCinet sandbox to connect Seattle to other cities at distances of more than 3,000 miles. Data transfer will include data backup and disaster recovery and demonstrates multiple stream performance and wire independence through the use of RDMA over InfiniBand and RDMA over Ethernet.
In this session, you will learn more about 40Gb/s IB over WAN. Specifically the presenter will:
1. Illustrate feasibility of 40Gb WAN links over extended distances based on RDMA protocols
2. Demonstrate large file transfers e.g. LHC-style workloads
3. Demonstrate multiple stream performance e.g. multiple parallel video streams over long distances
4. Demonstrate wire-independence, i.e. RDMA over IB, RDMA over Ethernet
