is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own
schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal
schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook

stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your
own schedule to guide you through the week.
You can also create your personal schedule on the SC11 app (Boopsie) on your smartphone. Simply select a session you want to attend and "add" it to your plan. Continue in this manner until you have created your own personal schedule. All your events will appear under "My Event Planner" on your smartphone.
Creating and Sustaining Cyberinfrastructure for the Humanities
SESSION: Special Topic: Workforce Development
EVENT TYPE: Workforce Development Panel
TIME: 10:30AM - 12:00PM
Panelists:Vernon Burton
ROOM:WSCC 2A/2B
ABSTRACT: A key challenge in building bridges between humanists, on the one hand, and information technologists, on the other, is translation across the different perspectives they bring to the table and the dearth of training opportunities available to them. The "Creating and Sustaining Cyberinfrastructure for the Humanities" panel will help address these issues by presenting examples of successful strategies for creating and sustaining cyberinfrastructures for the humanities. Leading members of the nascent field of digital humanities will present ideas and best practices in how to engage the humanities community in using high performance computing across a broad range of disciplinary and technological subjects. In addition to those issues raised above, the panel will also address some of the following questions: What does and doesn't work? What are some exemplar projects? How can we engage students? What funding opportunities and challenges exist?
