Posters provide an excellent opportunity for short presentations and informal discussions with conference attendees. SC11 posters display cutting-edge, interesting research in high performance computing, storage, networking and analytics. Posters will be prominently displayed for the duration of the conference, giving presenters a chance to showcase their latest results and innovations. Poster authors will be available to answer questions about their work at the Research Poster Reception on Tuesday, November 15. One poster will be selected to receive the Best Poster award.
As in past years, there will be three different types of posters presented at SC11. In addition to traditional paper posters, a limited number of electronic posters will be presented that take advantage of the interactive visualization capabilities that an electronic display provides. Also, the SC11 poster session will host an ACM Student Research Competition (SRC) in which students who are ACM members compete for awards and special recognition at SC11, plus the chance to compete in the SRC Grand Finals.
This year, the SC11 Posters committee received 176 total poster submissions. The committee selected 70 for presentation at the conference, including eight electronic posters and eight ACM Student Research Competition submissions.
